5 years ago on Valentine’s Day I married myself.

Let’s just say - I went all in. After almost a decade of spiritual work, I wanted to feel the love I knew was possible inside my own being. I wanted to smell and taste and touch it - instead of relating to it as this mysterious concept.

It was clear - a deeper commitment to myself and my body was needed. I could feel parts within me screaming to be reunited - they'd been separate for too long. It was time to cast a potent spell and make this inner union an embodied reality.

I have sat in many powerful rituals (alone, with small and large groups of people) over the years but this is the one which touches me the most. In it, I met my biggest longing.

I was yearning for my One. I wanted Love to complete me, to make me feel whole. In this ceremony, I found what I’d been missing my whole life.

I remembered something ancient inside of me - the drop of divine love that lives in every cell of my body.

I also learned that love is a daily, embodied practice - and the more I devote myself to it, the easier it is to remember.
